About Us

The story behind the name "The Mouses Happy Holiday Home" 🐭💒🏖

Our caravan originally belonged to my brother, it was indeed his “happy place”, he loved it here. He would come out here for the whole summer some years. He was a regular in Stewarts Bar and Happy Days and he stood out from the crowd with his tall lanky figure, his bald head and his one leg. He made friends wherever he went so he had a good few locally, he was the life and soul of any party.

Unfortunately and sadly, we lost him in 2023 aged just 55 years, then his happy place was left to me and his two sons.

Obviously, we have a deep emotional attachment to the place and desperately wanted to keep it in the family, hence why we’re choosing to share our special place with you lovely people... Simply so we can afford to keep it.

So thank you from the bottom of our hearts for anybody who chooses to take their holidays with us.

Just so you know: My brother’s nick-name was = Mouse.

The naming is a little nod to him!
